Peptide Reconstitution Guide

This guide is designed to help you reconstitute your powdered peptide vials to prepare them for injection.

Materials Needed

Reconstitution Instructions

  1.  Clean your area and wash your hands.
  2.  Pop off the caps on your peptide and reconstitution solution vials.
  3.  Santitize the tops of each vial being used with an alcohol wipe.
  4. Remove the cap from the syringe and insert the needle into the bacteriostatic water vial.
  5. Turn the vial and syringe upside down.
  6. Slowly draw out the required amount of bacteriostatic water based on the Reconstitution Chart. Remove the needle from the bacteriostatic water vial.
  7. Insert the needle into the peptide vial at a slight angle to minimize bubbling.
  8. Slowly push the plunger down to add water to the powdered peptide.
  9. Gently swirl the peptide vial until the powder has dissolved. Avoid shaking the vial.
  10.  Store your peptide in the fridge after reconstitution.

  10. Before removing the syringe, lift it so the needle is above the liquid but still inside the vial under the rubber stopper. Release the plunger and let the vial equalize the pressure naturally. The stopper should rise to match the amount of liquid originally added.

How to Balance the Pressure When Reconstituting a Peptide Vial

When a vial is reconstituted, the pressure inside should be balanced. If your peptide was reconstituted by our staff, the pressure has already been adjusted before dispensing. However, if you are reconstituting your own peptide, it can help to balance the pressure in your vial as you are reconstituting.

1. Before removing the syringe – Gently lift it so the needle is above the liquid but still inside the vial under the rubber stopper.

2. Allow the stopper to adjust – Release the plunger and let the vial equalize the pressure naturally. The stopper should rise to match the amount of liquid originally added.

3. Carefully remove the syringe – Put the cap back on and either dispose of the syringe or save it for reconstituting future vials.

How to Check the Pressure in the Vial Before Drawing Up Your Peptide

Proper pressure balance in your vial is essential for an easy and accurate draw of your peptide dose. This is especially important when drawing multiple peptides into the same syringe, as unequal pressure can make the process more difficult.

1. Prepare your syringe – Fill it halfway with air.

2. Insert the syringe into the vial – Do not push or pull the plunger; allow the stopper to naturally adjust.

3. Observe the pressure balance – The plunger should not be forced in or out. If the stopper adjusts on its own, the pressure is balanced.

4. Remove the syringe – You can now proceed to draw up your peptide dose as instructed.
